OUR WALKING GRADES

We believe the world really is more beautiful on foot and that’s why we have a holiday to suit everyone who loves fresh air, wonderful locations and good company. You can follow your spirit of adventure and passion for the outdoors and the world’s high places with our challenging grades. Or, if you prefer, walk the cultural cities of Europe, or on the hill country slopes and scenic coastal paths with our leisurely and moderate grades.

Matching the right walking grade to suit your ability and comfort level is key to your enjoyment. So we’ve graded our holidays to help you find your perfect pace. With our simple rating system from 1 (sightseeing and easy walking) to 9 (serious, technical mountaineering) you'll be able to pinpoint a holiday which leaves you breathless - with delight.

CRUISE & WALK HOLIDAYS

The holidays use our standard grading system, however as our time in port is determined by the cruise line and factors such as tides, our local programmes are adapted to fit in with these timings. Walks may sometimes be shorter than you would normally expect with grades generally highlighting the terrain and steepness of ascents and descents.
