The Trust have continued to support and work with key partners including Mind Over Mountains, Adaptive GrandSlam and The Ramblers to make a difference to people's lives and improve access to the countryside for all.

Classic Discover Adagio Self-guided

Stride Corwall

Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust will fund a mixture of equipment and training for young people (aged 12-18) from one of the nation's most deprived areas - the spine of Cornwall. Our funding means the group will be able to participate in this year's Ten Tors. It will also support hill skills and first aid training for the youngsters so that they can become future walk leaders.

Outward Bound

Inner-city students from schools in the Midlands and the North-East will be able to take part in a 5-day residential Outward Bound course later this year, thanks to Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust funding. The children come from primary and secondary schools in areas of high pupil premium ratios. Sam, aged 16 and a previous participant, summed up the positive impact of such courses: "Being on this course made me realise that I'm not nothing and that I can be whoever I want to be, if I put my mind to it".

West Fife Woodlands Group

People reticent to explore the outdoors can be encouraged when they want to see something special. That's why Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust has funded the West Fife Woodlands Group to place bird boxes in its network of paths. Locals and visitors alike may get the chance to glimpse owls amongst other species and the group report that people love to help record what they see.

Apply for a grant

If your project or initiative aims to support outdoor-related activities for people from all communities, you may qualify for a grant. Simply click the link below and submit the online application form. You can see examples of prior funding on our page detailing the Trust in action. Our Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications in January, March, July and October. Please aim to submit applications by the end of the previous month. The Trustees may ask for further information, and they may visit you or request to interview you in support of your application
