Viva Andalucia

On the evening of November 25th, walking enthusiasts descended on Manchester’s Deansgate and made their way to the well known La Vina Restaurant and Tapas Bar . It was here, that we held our joint “Taste of Andalucia ” event with Turismo Andaluz. The evening focussed on the kaleidoscope of walking and trekking opportunities available throughout this marvellous region of southern Spain, when travelling on a Ramblers Worldwide or Adagio holiday.

Presentations were made by Kathy Cook, Joint MD of Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, Juan Manuel Ortiz of the Consejeria de Turismo y Comercio who flew in especially from Malaga , and Ramblers Worldwide Holidays’ leader, Alison Sadnicka, Together, these speakers gave all our guests an overview of the diversity that Andalucia has to offer, along with its history, its main sights and the type of terrain hikers heading there for a walking holiday might expect to find.

Also on offer were plenty of tapas and drinks along with a specially prepared paella, whilst the ‘ramblers’ in the audience traded stories of previous walking adventures and thjose yet to come.

The evening was a great success and we look forward to more such partnerships in the future
