Gardens of the French Riviera 14th – 24th April 2012
We have just returned from this holiday, having stayed an extra three days at the same hotel in Nice as kindly arranged by Ramblers Worldwide Holidays.
A gentle holiday, with some superb gardens and varied walking.
The hotel is excellent for its location, and did look after us. We ate in different restaurants and had some very good meals. We visited medieval hilltop villages as well as some coastal towns and cities.
The two highlights were firstly the gardens of the Rothschild Villa at Cap Ferrat and then the walk around the peninsular, and secondly visiting the lovely cacti garden in the hilltop village of Eze and then the walk down the Friedrich Nietzsche Path to the coast.
The holiday was well led by Ann, another very good Ramblers Worldwide leader for a very enjoyable 29th Ramblers Worldwide holiday.
I now look forward to my 30th Ramblers Worldwide holiday in September when I join a group for the Camino de Santiago walk.
