South Coast Walks & Historical Sites
Bring intriguing coastal trails and history alive in South Hampshire
There is a myriad of reasons why you may want to travel as a private group; for family celebrations, an adventure for you and your band of friends, a get together for one of your social groups or clubs, a team bonding experience for you and your colleagues or perhaps just to spend some quality time together with your favourite people – whatever your reason, we can make it happen…
Walking together is a sociable experience, you’ve got time to talk, take in the views, enjoy new experiences and then you can relax in the evenings and relive the highpoints of your day over a relaxed meal.
Our head office team and our tour leader will ensure all the logistics are taken care of before and during your holiday; all you need to do is get your group on board, agree the destination and date, and then let us take care of the detail.
Why book your Private Group with RWH Travel?
Yes! Our dedicated Private Groups team will guide you through the procedure and ensure it is as seamless a process as possible. If you have a group of people that you’d like to take a walking holiday with, just get in contact and let us know your plans.

Our office team has a huge wealth of experience and with our dedicated Private Groups team we pride ourselves in our ability to work with you to really take the strain of organising your holiday.
We provide you with one point of contact, so we can really get to know you and understand your group’s requirements. We want to always be your first port of call, so we take the time to build our relationship and support you and your group from your first enquiry through to your return home. Hopefully again and again!
I have always worked in the travel industry since leaving school and I still absolutely love it! Liaising with customers on the shop floor in travel agencies and helping them with ‘all things travel’ from booking train and theatre tickets, hotel and flight bookings, car hire and foreign exchange to finding their ultimate dream holiday was where I began, before moving on to organising business trips around the world for Tesco.
I found my way to RWH Travel in 2002, and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else! I took a break to look after my children but came back to the sales department in 2012. I have always been customer service focused and I’ve really enjoyed building strong relationships with customers, and more recently Private Group Organisers, which has been rather important over the last 18 months with everything we have been through together!
Organising a group holiday is a tough job, I’m here to ease that pressure for you and to offer all the support you may need by being your dedicated point of contact. Understanding the challenges that you have taken on in organising your group holiday is key, and I always look forward to building our relationship and looking after you and your groups for a long time to come. If you haven’t already been in contact with me, don’t hesitate to let me know of your travel plans for your group, I’ll work closely with you to bring your ideas to fruition and ensure your experience is as stress free as possible!
In my spare time I also love to travel, spend time out in the village I live in (mostly eating and drinking with family, friends, and neighbours!), take theatre trips and some lovely long walks with my cocker spaniels Marley & Dexter.
We have a great portfolio of holidays, and our itineraries are planned by people who are passionate about walking. You can explore the country and coastal footpaths of the UK, walk some iconic well known trails, or discover the more intriguing, lesser-known places of Europe and further afield. We have something for everyone, including holidays from our Cruise & Walk and Adagio portfolios.
We understand that spending time with your group is what you want to concentrate on, that and enjoying your surroundings, and new experiences. Our tour leader is there to ensure everything goes to plan, to guide you through the day and support your group throughout, not just with the logistics but to ensure you’re seeing the best of the area and having fun!
We also offer a range of walking grades, so if you have a group of mixed walking abilities, why not consider one of our holidays with two grades of walking so you can cater for your whole group. None of you will be gasping to keep up, or kicking your heels, and, at the end of the day, you’ll all have your own walking story to tell.
If you are looking for a short break, new for 2021/22, all our UK short culture breaks offer walking tours of the two towns or cities we visit led by accredited Blue Badge Tourist Guides (BBTG). BBTG are accredited professionals whose passion and local knowledge can bring a visit to life, and they offer a wonderful insight into the history and culture of the city you are exploring. We combine this with walks around the local countryside. An ideal way to explore one of the UK's historical centres and to socialise with your gang!
Or if you are looking to get back to nature why not consider one of our UK holidays where we have partnered with the Field Studies Council (FSC)? These holidays are about enjoying the great outdoors, the accommodation is no frills and the food simple but plentiful, the real star of the show is the surrounding nature and walks on your doorstep. Kick back and relax with your group whilst exploring our great countryside.
And of course, when our world fully opens again for tourism, our strength lies in organising overseas adventures, we can take you to sunny climes, in Europe and Worldwide where you can immerse yourself in new landscapes, cultures and cuisine – all the better for sharing with your favourite people!
As a not for profit social enterprise, through our charities and initiatives we are able to give something back to the places and communities we operate in. The Ramblers Holidays Charitable Trust supports walking projects and charities both in the UK and overseas.
Whilst The Walking Partnership helps provide direct financial support to local walking clubs throughout the UK. If you’re a member of a walking group it’s free to join us as a partner. You will earn rewards and funding of up to £30pp for your walking group every time you or your group members book a holiday with us.
We are also the official walking holiday partner of The Ramblers. We’ve invested millions of pounds, for more than 70 years, to educate and encourage everyone to look after our world today, for others to experience and enjoy tomorrow.
We have a long heritage of organising group holidays, we’ve been in business for the past eight decades, and have amassed a wealth of experience. Our planning and travel team will work hard at securing accommodation and flights for the best value, meaning that you are secure in booking your holiday at the best price.
