Bring intriguing coastal trails and history alive in South Hampshire
Here the Aiguilles du Midi, the Grandes Jorasses, Mont Blanc itself and other legendary peaks seem to be within touching distance.
Bienvenu to the world of glaciers, peaks which pierce the clouds, wooden huts baked to a golden brown in the alpine sun, and flower-filled meadows. This is the holiday devotees of our Adagio Plus holidays have been waiting for. Here the Aiguille du Midi, the Grandes Jorasses, Mont Blanc itself and other legendary peaks seem to be within touching distance. They are the perfect backdrop as we walk amidst the gentians and alpenrose. We include the Chamonix lift pass in the price of the holiday, adding great flexibilty to our proposed itinerary, meaning you can often opt in or out of parts of days or walks as you wish.
We stay in the rustic yet very comfortable Hotel Le Labrador in Les Praz de Chamonix and eat at the highly rated restaurant La Cabane next door where no doubt some fine Savoyarde specialities will be on offer.

This is the land of lavender and olives, of plane trees shading weekly markets, of popes and artists, of gypsies and troubadours.
The gateway to the Dordogne. As you wander the streets of Rocamadour filled with the smells of fresh bread and clean air you are possibly the closest to stepping back in time you can get.
Annecy is a dazzling historic centre, criss-crossed by canals, morning markets and a lakeside setting it really is truly magical.
Chinon is on the River Vienne, a few miles of gently meandering curves away from where it meets the Loire. Here are cream-coloured stone buildings, turrets, half-timbered façades and riverside promenades. This is the rich land of wine and food, of castles and kings, producing some of the Loire’s best wine.
