2015 Far Away Voyages now on sale!!

For early 2015, we are introducing fly-cruise itineraries to the Far East and South East Asia. Just the names of the seas alone conjure up images of the exotic, of travel from a by-gone age - the South China Sea, the Java Sea, the Celebes Sea. Line suits, tea clippers, poste restante & sepia postcards... Travel as it used to be.

These ‘Far Away Voyages’ will be on Fred.Olsen’s ship Balmoral. The first, From the Java Sea to Japan, starts in Kuala Lumpur, then makes its way through Indonesia and the Philippines to Japan. Japan & the East China Sea starts in Tokyo, then sails to South Korea and Japan before journey’s end in Hong Kong. Finally From the South China Sea to Singapore takes us from Hong Kong to Singapore via Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

And our popular Caribbean fly-cruises are back! Scratch the surface of the Caribbean and you discover a world of exotic contrasts. This is the Spanish Main of pirate legend; this is jungle and tropical wildlife. This is colonial cities; Old Europe jazzed up with blue skies and salsa. We’ll see the different cultures left behind by British, Spanish and Dutch settlers. Don't delay - Book now for some Caribbean winter sun!

We now have two departures on sale, ‘The Caribbean & Latin America’ (25 Jan 2015) and ‘Islands in the Caribbean’ (08 Feb 2015).  Both are graded D/SS. Click here to see further details

Go ashore and experience more!!

We believe in combining the freedom of our walking or sightseeing holidays with the relaxed pleasures of cruising aboard a Fred. Olsen cruise liner - and that’s the unique essence of our Cruise & Walk holidays. Fabulously popular since we launched the programme back in 2007, a Cruise & Walk holiday offers the opportunity to explore a completely new place almost every day while travelling in complete comfort.

At each new port of call, your Ramblers Cruise & Walk Holidays leader will have arranged an itinerary that includes a walking programme to make the most of your new location on your cruising holidays. Often we are accompanied by a local guide in cities for our sightseeing programme. A degree of flexibility is required on these walking holidays; weather conditions, for example, may mean arrival or departure times at ports may vary. No need to worry though - our Ramblers Cruise & Walk Holidays leader will always be on hand to adeptly re-arrange plans if necessary.

If walking with a maritime or a coastal accent appeals to you, then we’ve probably got a cruise holiday for you! Fred. Olsen Cruise Liners are our floating hotels, you’ll enjoy superb dining as well as the excellent amenities on board ship, with live entertainment, interesting talks for those that would like them and the tranquillity of the library for those who prefer a little peace and quiet. All meals are included, as well as midnight suppers, morning coffee and afternoon tea. Delicious packed lunches will be provided on the days we are ashore. On one of our sea days we will have a traditional afternoon tea with waiter service.
