Cruise & Walk Holidays

We believe in combining the freedom of our walking or sightseeing holidays with the relaxed pleasures of cruising aboard a Fred. Olsen cruise liner - and that’s the unique essence of our Cruise & Walk holidays.

Fabulously popular since we launched the programme back in 2008, this year looks set to be another great year for cruise holidays! Remember, on a Cruise & Walk holiday, pretty much every day offers the opportunity to explore a completely new place while travelling in complete comfort.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines are our floating hotels, meaning there’s no flying (except on a long haul fly-cruise holiday to the islands of the Caribbean), and no packing and unpacking. Just come on board and take it easy on our relaxing Cruise & Walk holidays.

You’ll enjoy fine dining as well as the excellent amenities on board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, with live entertainment, interesting talks for those that would like them and the tranquillity of the library for those who prefer a little peace and quiet. All meals are included, as well as a midnight supper, morning coffee and afternoon tea - and don’t forget your formal wear as you will be encouraged to ‘dress for dinner’. There’s even an exclusive cocktail party one evening – an event to remember on cruising holidays!

At each new port of call, your Ramblers Cruise & Walk Holidays leader will have arranged an itinerary that includes a walking programme to make the most of your new location on your cruising holidays. A degree of flexibility is required on these walking holidays; weather conditions, for example, may mean arrival or departure times at ports may vary. No need to worry though - our Ramblers Cruise & Walk Holidays leader will always be on hand to adeptly re-arrange plans if necessary. And remember you or your partner can always take a day off walking and one or both of you stay on board enjoying your breakfast and then dinner together on board.

If easy walking with a maritime or a coastal walks accent appeals to you, then we’ve probably got a cruise holiday for you - join us Walking on Water and have a look at our selection below.
