FLORA & WALKING

We believe that the best flower holidays are the ones where you not only get to see a dazzling variety of flowers in their natural environments - but the ones where the group leaders share the same passion for the natural world as you do. For those with an interest in flora, parks and gardens this range of holidays will lead you, in a small groups, to those destinations which either are synonymous with flora, famous for their National Parks or which visit stunning private and public gardens.

All of our Ramblers Walking Holidays with a flower interest are with experienced leaders; some of whom are botanists and some are keen gardeners with an interest in flowers and plants around the world. Spring and early summer are ideal times to enjoy blooming landscapes. A flower holiday with us follows an unhurried pace and spans a range of walking grades, from leisurely to moderate.

Springtime in Minorca gives you the opportunity to discover some of the first wild orchids, purple sage or even a prickly pear. There are stunning gardens to be found on the French Riviera, whilst in Southern Greece, our beautiful walking trails are abundant in wild flowers such as anemones or orchids. Alpine flora can be found during the month of June in Austria or Switzerland. For those travelling further afield for botanical tours, why not try South Africa to see protea, rooibos and sparaxis or perhaps explore some of the finest gardens of Japan.

Wherever you decide to travel, you’ll be able to enjoy wonderful walking, and a flower holiday that’s a perfect fit for your passion.
