NORTHERN IRELAND WALKING HOLIDAYS

Wild mountains and moors, rugged coastlines and enchanting valleys.

Discover the inspirational landscapes of one of the UK’s lesser known yet hauntingly beautiful destinations. Northern Ireland has stunning scenery in abundance, with dramatic coastlines, brooding mountains, forests, waterfalls, geology, and abundant flora and fauna. You’ll experience nature at its unspoilt best, forming a backdrop for welcoming historic towns and villages with their own stories to tell.

The Nine Glens of Antrim offer magnificent yet accessible walking in a designated Area of Natural Beauty. Walk in the footsteps of the legendary giant Finn McCool at the Giant’s Causeway, a volcanic outcrop of polygonal basalt columns that’s steeped in myth and legend and is Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage site. Or challenge your head for heights at the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, spanning the sea over a 23-metre deep and 20 metre-wide chasm. On the way there are wonderful vantage points to take in the spectacular views.

Take the road less travelled – you can be sure of a very warm Irish welcome. Your Ramblers Walking Holidays leader will ensure you have safe and enjoyable walking throughout your holiday. See below for our walking holidays visiting Northern Ireland.
