Roaming Around Britain and IrelandDiscover the diverse coast and sail around the UK & Ireland.
In the British Isles we are never far from our amazing coast, where there is so much good walking close to those summer holiday beaches. Roam around the British Isles with us and an amazing diversity becomes apparent as we explore the otherwise remote parts, the islands, creeks and little-visited places which make our islands the most varied in the world.
Several of our cruises in home waters concentrate on Scotland’s highlands and islands, beautiful places full of history and romance which we discover on our walks. Mull, Ullapool, Stornoway, Oban and the Orkney Islands all feature. From Stornoway we cross the island of Lewis to walk on the smaller island of Great Bernera.
We call into cities such as Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Liverpool, most of which have really nice walking on their doorsteps, In Dublin we walk around the Howth Peninsula then spend the afternoon exploring the city. From Belfast we head to the north coast and the Giant’s Causeway. Stops in Portsmouth, Falmouth, Glasgow and Milford Haven give us the chance to walk sections of famous long-distance footpaths.
The BBC series Coast has undoubtedly opened our eyes to the wonders of our own coastline… now come and see it, and more, for yourselves!
Please do check the individual itineraries for your chosen date as the UK departure ports and individual ports of call on each cruise vary!

Holiday: the sight-seeing component could have been even higher. one can spend a lot of time walking and miss out a bit on some of the 'sights', but striking the right balance is very difficult i appreciate, and everyone has different preferences. the leadership of gillian and chris browne was excellent, and unfaultable!
