Hampshire Hikes & Historical Sites
Bring intriguing coastal trails and history alive in South Hampshire
Centres of civilisation from ancient times, North Africa and the Middle East are full of rich history and mystique. At the crossroads of the civilised world you can find ancient sandblasted ruins, intricate architecture and amazing natural landscapes peopled by resilient and friendly locals. Tendrils of coffee aroma and shisha smoke mingle with the scents of spices as you wander through the bazaars, with the sound of haggling punctuating the background murmur.
Join one of our tours and discover the lesser explored areas by foot. Discover landscapes that beguile and can be found nowhere else. The unique culture and cuisine offer a real departure from the Western norms, and seeing it all on foot gets you the most authentic experience possible.
Hiking the spectacular landscapes of an ancient kingdom, float in the Dead Sea, watch the starry night sky from a desert camp and discover the ancient city of Petra.
Full day walks with moderate amounts of ascent and descent. The paths are mostly good, but there may be some steep and rough ground. Walks will last up to 6 hours and could involve as much as 750m of ascent and descent. Some walks will be less demanding. Some days of this holiday will be dedicated solely to sightseeing (or include an element of sightseeing). To enhance your experience, a knowledgeable local guide will accompany your small group for part (or the majority) of the holiday.
