Flights or ferry crossings
Transport Because of the wide choice of flights and airlines operating from UK regional airports to the Isle of Man, flights to and from the island’s Ronaldsway airport are not included in the holiday arrangements or charges. Ferry services also operate between Liverpool or Heysham and Douglas. Transfer from the airport or ferry terminal can easily be arranged independently on arrival. Inexpensive local buses operate between the airport and Douglas.
Local transport on the Isle of Man
Transport to and from the trailheads, if necessary, is included - we include the cost of a 7 day Explorer ticket covering travel on IOM buses, trains, the Manx Electic Railway and horse trams. The Explorer ticket will be issued to you by your tour leader at the hotel.
Arrival and departure transfers
The hotel is 10 miles from the airport and 1 mile from the ferry terminal. Take a look at the IOM bus timetables for travel between the airport and Douglas.
Buses between the airport and Douglas operate about every 20 minutes and the journey takes about 30 minutes; there is a bus stop about 50 yards from the hotel. The validity of the Explorer ticket included in the holiday price also means that it can also be used to cover the return bus transfer from Douglas to the airport. Taxis are also available.
