Islands in the Indian Ocean

from £POA
If you have been dreaming of finding your own piece of paradise, then the idyllic islands of the Indian Ocean offer all this and more.

If you have been dreaming of finding your own piece of paradise, then the idyllic islands of the Indian Ocean o¬ffer all this and more. From relaxing on the stunning beaches of the Maldives to exploring ancient ruins in Sri Lanka and discovering national parks and underwater coral reefs on Mauritius; on land or at sea, halcyon days await.

Picture-perfect beaches in the Seychelles and Maldives, the lush interior of Réunion Island and the opportunity to explore tropical forests and seek out the exclusive wildlife, including lemurs and chameleons of Madagascar. We’ll explore the culturally diverse islands on foot, with time out to relax on the sparkling white-sand beaches and in the crystal clear waters.

Colombo, Sri Lanka - This spectacular city is packed with beautiful Buddhist and Hindu temples, mosques, museums and busy bazaars.

Maldives - A slender chain of coral islands south-west of Sri Lanka, we visit and explore two islands – Uligamu and Male. There will be time to snorkel through the offshore reefs.

Praslin Island, Seychelles - We visit the spectacular palm forest of the UNESCO listed Vallee de Mai, look for Coco de Mer nuts and hopefully spot rare Black Parrots.

Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles - Accompanied by a local guide we hike through the Morne Seychellois National Park to the summit of Morne Blanc at 667 metres, offering breath taking views of Mahé's western coast.

Mayotte, Comoros - We take a boat trip on the largest lagoon in the Indian Ocean, boasting over 250 different species of hard coral and explore Grand-Terre, featuring volcanic landscapes, deep ravines and peaks.

Antsiranana & Andoany, Madagascar - We discover the cities with a local guide before heading south to one of the National Parks, hopefully to spot the Madagascar Fish Eagle – one of the world’s rarest birds of prey. On the island of Nosy Komba we hope to spend some time with lemurs in their natural habitat.

Port Réunion, Réunion Island - With a local guide we explore the diverse landscapes of this French colony, taking in the island's lush, sweeping landscapes, active volcano, lush forests and mountainous interior.

Andaman Islands - We have two days to discover the beautiful coastline, lush forested interior and maybe even diving opportunities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea.

Port Louis, Mauritius - In a city renowned for its mix of cultures, we spend a short time on a city tour with a local guide followed either by a tour of Casela National Park, or a visit to the famous Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens.

Phuket, Thailand - Fabulous Phuket is sure to delight. We explore the jaw dropping vistas of Koh Phi Phi Don and maybe even take a trip to the iconic 'James Bond' location of Phang Nga Bay.
