CloseWe have returned from our Malta and Gozo holiday. What a great time of the year to visit these islands. Not too hot, usually less than 20 degrees. They are so green and lush. The crops in the fields are almost ready for harvesting now. In a few weeks the heat and relentless sunshine will burn of all the green.
The walking has been very good. Never far from the wonderful coastline and lots of interesting forts, churches and ancient remains to visit on route. One of the best was a pre Roman Bee farm. An array of holes in the side of a cave with access at the rear to gather the honey. These have been lovingly restored by dedicated volunteers who are happy to show you around and explain the history.
