Cruise into the land of the midnight sun

Ramble Worldwide | Tue 19 Jan 2016

Ramblers Cruise & Walk – the experts in guided walking adventures combining land and sea - are offering a fabulous opportunity to experience one of the world’s great natural phenomenons – the land of the midnight sun – aboard Fred. Olsen’s ship, Braemar – 12 nights from 16 June 2015.

Combined with this stunning experience is the opportunity of visiting many of Norway’s coastal towns and islands including Svalbard – just 800 miles from the North Pole where one can walk across a glacier and visit an Arctic research station. Other highlights include, the relatively undiscovered Lofoten Islands with sheer rock walls, Tromsø where one can walk in the hills and countryside sometimes using cable cars to gain altitude; Honningsvåg – the most northerly point on the European mainland where one can walk where only reindeer normally tread; Kristiansund where one climbs a small mountain for fabulous views out to sea and inland into the fjords and the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund.

Price from £1,525 per person includes all meals, an exclusive welcome party on one evening and a traditional afternoon tea with waiter service on a sea day, walking tours, shore visits, sightseeing programmes and the services of a dedicated tour leader.
