Holiday Highlights

See what's planned

  • Follow the first 50 miles of the route southwards from Prestatyn to Chirk Castle
  • Pass through the highest of the Clwydian Hills and cross the Dee Valley
  • Walk on heather clad hills and sites of iron age forts
  • Descend to World’s End, crossing Pontcysyllte aqueduct towards Chirk
  • Distances covered each day are less on this section than the others, so the days may be shorter. If time allows, afternoons will be spent sightseeing
  • Option to combine all three sections consecutively – the whole path runs for 177 miles from Prestatyn on the north Wales coast to Chepstow on the Severn Estuary
  • Enjoy views of the Clwydean Hills and the relatively modern aqueducts on the Llangollen Canal
