Hampshire Hikes & Historical Sites
Bring intriguing coastal trails and history alive in South Hampshire.
We have partnered with the Field Studies Council, an environmental education charity that offers people of all ages the opportunity to engage with nature. Many of their centres are housed in spectacular buildings in areas of outstanding beauty around the UK, with some of the best walking routes right on the doorstep. Accommodation is simple in style.
After the success of our holidays in 2020 to Slapton Ley and Malham Tarn, we have extended our range of UK guided walking holidays in partnership with the Field Studies Council (FSC) in 2021. We share a very similar ethos to the FSC in wanting to offer as many people as possible the opportunity to engage with nature and the outdoors, and the benefits they give to us all. The FSC is committed to operating in the most sustainable way, for example, alongside other initiatives, most of the showers have been installed with water saving devices, there is extensive recycling on site, and their dining facilities have all been awarded the Soil Association's Food for Life Award, in recognition of the extra mile they go to, to ensure all visitors are receiving healthy, nutritious and sustainable meals, all locally sourced where possible.
The FSC offer a mix of day centres and residential accommodation in the UK, and are located in areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including National Parks, woodlands and on spectacular coastlines. We have chosen a handful of centres to offer you a range of new walking holidays, with a range of no-frills, simple accommodation, with a mix of single, double and small dormitory style rooms. Some rooms with en-suite, and some with shared facilities.
