St. Lucia is one link of the chain of Windward Islands in the Caribbean, with its shores washed by both the Atlantic and the Caribbean, and is quite simply a beautiful island. It is more mountainous than any other in the Caribbean with the Pitons rising to 798m and dominating the skyline. Gros Piton, one of the Caribbean’s most famous landmarks, offers magnificent views from the summit.
The island has so much to offer from the lush inland tropical rain forests that house some of the world’s most beautiful plants and fruits, to the rare and exotic wildlife, coral reefs, waterfalls, and numerous trails into the hills that provide an exciting alternative to beach life..
Friendly locals reflect the mix of influences on the island, with the Creole culture and Patois language ringing out in the streets. As welcoming too is the year round warmth and sunshine that blesses the island and makes it a great place to lace up your walking boots.
