The coast, villages and countryside of the Eastern Algarve and then explore the treasures of this most westerly corner of Europe.
Tajikistan is a predominately mountainous country, where you can escape civilisation to go in search of the history of Silk Road, alongside uncovering shimmering turquoise lakes and vast grassy plains. Lace-up your walking boots and be prepared to traverse incredible peaks, before staying in traditional yurts amongst wild landscapes, as well as visiting mosques, local bazaars and museums along the way.
A walking holiday in Tajikistan truly feels like stepping back in time. Once you venture outside of the most intriguing towns and cities in this destination, only lakes, mountain ranges and wildlife will surround you.
On our Central Asian Odyssey holiday, you will hike across both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This trekking adventure is filled with history and culture, where you will taste local cuisine, wander around colourful bazaars and you may even glimpse a snow leopard, as well as rare birds throughout. On the Tajikistan part of your holiday, you will visit fascinating places such as Khujand, Panjakent and Dushanbe, all with the help of your English-speaking guide.
As well as enjoying an exciting itinerary, you will also have three leisure days throughout your 14-night trip, where you can fit in more spectacular walks or simply sit back and take in the landscape. The Fann Mountains are also one of the highlights when exploring this glorious country. Acting as one of the most popular hiking spots in Central Asia, you can ascend one of around 100 peaks here including the highest, Chimtarga.
