Thomas Cook Update

We were very sorry to hear the news of Thomas Cook ceasing trading today (Monday, 23 September 2019) and our thoughts go to everyone who is affected, whether Thomas Cook customers or their employees.

Firstly, it is important to note that if you have booked a future holiday with Ramblers Walking Holidays or Adagio which does not have a Thomas Cook flight, your holiday will be unaffected by the failure of Thomas Cook Airlines.

We are fully ABTA bonded and ATOL Protected for your peace of mind – so your booking and money is secure.

If you have booked a holiday with us that includes a Thomas Cook flight we understand this is a worrying time and ask that you take the following action to give our teams the best opportunity to serve you:

Customers already on holiday and returning within the next 14 days on a Thomas Cook flight:

Customers on these tours are affected:

27/09/19 –Ionian Island Hopping (tour number 55800) returning to London Gatwick

27/09/19 –Coast & Countryside of Menorca (tour number 13030) returning to Manchester

28/09/19 – Walking from Puerto de Soller (tour number 13200) returning to Gatwick and Manchester

04/10/19 – Coast & Countryside of Menorca (tour number 13030) returning to Manchester

Our flights team are in contact with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) who are responsible for re-arranging return flights through the ATOL Protection which is included as part of your holiday arrangements with us. Our tour leaders will be in touch with you regarding your return flight which will be as close as possible to your expected return.

Customers due to travel on a Thomas Cook flight prior to 30 November 2019

We understand you will be concerned and are doing everything possible to rearrange your flights. Due to the number of customers affected by the failure of Thomas Cook Airlines, this process can take time and we will contact you at the earliest possible opportunity with all your options.

Customers due to travel on a Thomas Cook flight in 2020

Our teams are working though our future holiday departures affected by the failure of Thomas Cook Airlines in date order. Due to the complexity of this operation we will be in contact as soon as we can to provide further details.

Cancellation policy

We are currently seeking to arrange replacement flights for all holiday arrangements affected by the failure of Thomas Cook airlines and will be in touch as soon as possible with all customers directly with details of revised arrangements to protect your holiday.

In the event that we are unable to rearrange suitable alternative flights for your holiday, we will be in touch with you to offer an alternative holiday or a full refund.
