Tanzania is a land of great contrasts; from the picturesque Spice Island of Zanzibar to the dramatic landscapes of Mount Kilimanjaro, there is no shortage of natural beauty in this remarkable country.
This beauty is shared with the extraordinary wildlife which resides here; Tanzania is home to some of Africa’s most impressive animals, including fiercely powerful game like lion, rhino, cheetah and hippopotamus, as well as peaceful giants like giraffe. Wildlife spotting is a prominent feature of our holidays in Tanzania, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to embark on a game drive and witness these astounding animals in the wild.
All of the highly sought after Big Five game (lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and Cape buffalo) dwell in these parts, too. So, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for these impressive and majestic animals during a game safari drive. While doing so, you’ll get to explore some of Africa’s finest national parks, including the famous Serengeti and Tarangire National Park, both home to an abundance of spectacular landscapes. With all of these exceptional sights and wonders to uncover, a hiking getaway in Tanzania makes for an unforgettable adventure.
With our knowledgeable and experienced leaders guiding the way, walking enthusiasts will discover the true nature of Tanzania during their trip. Our leaders will take trekkers off the beaten path for an authentic native experience, which can be enjoyed with the help of our leaders’ trustworthy expertise. Avid hikers can then relish the opportunity to trek the tremendous Usambara mountains (Tanzania’s majestic mountain range), where their efforts will be rewarded with phenomenal views of the rugged landscape surrounding them. Along the way, there are several excellent viewpoints to savour, as well as a number of small, friendly villages to admire, where you can meet and interact with the welcoming locals.
