Overview
Egypt is a country which requires no introduction. It has its groundings so firmly intrenched in the past, offering reminders everywhere through its architecture, attractions, customs and culture. You will never forget the first time you stand under the shadows of the Great Pyramid of Giza and stare up at the pointed spires, truly something quite magical. As is hearing the call to prayer reverberate throughout the city at sunset.
Throughout history, all life has stemmed from the River Nile. In fact, the months when it flooded were instrumental in sailing gigantic stone blocks down to Giza for construction of the pyramids, plus its mineral rich waters breathe life into the land for farmers who live along its watery snaking contours. That is why experiencing Egypt along The Nile is the best way of truly understanding the country.
Cruise along by cruise ship and on an open-air ‘felucca’ sailboat, observe the language of hieroglyphics inside tombs and hear the Koran sung though loudspeakers throughout each city. There are some countries which constantly remind you of being in a foreign land and Egypt is one of them, what more could you possibly want!
On this all-encompassing tour we take in the main attractions around Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, yet also visit temples outside of the main cities. This offers a wider view of life in Egypt and the gems which lie within. Come experience Egypt with Ramblers walking Holidays!
