Passports and Visas

Is your passport valid?

Passports are required for all overseas holidays or as identification when boarding a UK domestic flight, a Eurostar train  or a cruise ship. Many countries now require that your passport be valid for 3-6 months beyond your stay. Please check the expiry date of your passport (and if travelling to or through the US, the type of passport required) before you travel. Check that the passport you are taking with you is yours and that you´ve packed it before you travel. We also strongly recommend that you carry a photocopy of your passport separately from your main travel documents in case of loss or theft.

Visas

Details of any visa requirements will be sent to you with your confirmation of booking. Holidays for which UK citizens require visas have a ‘v’ alongside the holiday pricing. If your passport is not a British Citizen passport you may require a further visa(s). Please check with us, or the appropriate consulate, before booking and don't obtain an expensive visa more than 3 months before departure without reference to us.

Visa costs and procedures are liable to change, so are not included in holiday charges, with the exception of certain holidays - please check with us on 01707 331133 for details of these holidays. For tours with a cost-inclusive visa, please note that we will require your passport details in good time.

British travellers planning to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) must now provide details online 72 hours prior to travel on an Electronic Travel System known as ESTA.  An ESTA, once obtained, will be valid for a period of two years, or for the validity of the travellers passport (whichever is shorter). British travellers who have not registered before their trip are likely to be detained and sent home. This may affect a wide range of British Nationals and we are particularly concerned that people who may not have heard of ESTA and booked their trip before enforcement of the new rule, may be caught out.

Please note that we will be unable to process visa arrangements at no additional charge should you fail to provide us with your passport details in sufficient time. Please also note that, should we assist you with visa arrangements not included in the holiday charge, we may levy an additional charge to cover visa fees and processing costs.
