Malta and Gozo are unique. Mediterranean in location and climate, a language with Arabic influence and strongly British influence from its colonial history. From the beginning of recorded history Malta and Gozo have appeared time and time again. The oldest building known anywhere is on Malta, Gozo is thought to be the home of Calypso in Homer's Odyssey.
