Walking in Gomera & Tenerife

Walking on two contrasting Canary Islands.
Overview

West of Africa are the attractive islands of Gomera and Tenerife. We spend our first week on Gomera in the capital and main port of San Sebastian, a diverting town of old buildings and monuments with a relaxed pace of life. We’ll have a good week walking and exploring enabling us to see the beauty of the valleys and wonderful seascapes.

We then return to Tenerife and to Puerto de la Cruz, an excellent coastal base to explore the attractive northern part of the island for our second week. The mountainous backbone culminates in the volcanic peak of Mt Teide at over 3718m. There are lovely villages, seascapes and areas of great beauty to explore.
