Photography Holidays

Learn to use your digital camera whilst discovering magnificent landscapes with a professional photographer, David Lewins. David has over 25 years experience in landscape photography and is a firm believer that “Getting it right in the camera” is the most important stage in producing good photographic images.

David has a great deal of enthusiasm and the ability to impart his photographic knowledge to every level of experience. From the most basic compact digital cameras to the proud owners of the All-Singing, All-Dancing DSLR’s. David’s commitment to detail will make sure that everyone will make some images to be proud of.

Anyone can buy a camera, push the button and come up with a reasonable image. Here, we aim to show you how to create something in a way that you will be happy to enjoy viewing again and again.

There will be both Group and Individual tuition during the day to help improve your exposure technique and compositions, together with tips on basic processing of images in your computer. Correct exposure, the use of filters and the use of your camera settings are all up for discussion and explanation. This is maybe a good time to warn you that there will be a couple of early starts to capture the Early Morning Light.

Back at the hotel, there will be some tips on basic processing of your RAW files and compressed JPEG files in your computer for both DSLR users and for those with simpler Point & Shoot cameras.
