The Sperrins & Mountains of Mourne
Walking the hill country of Northern Ireland. 6 nights
OverviewHere's a chance to explore two different and unspoilt faces of Northern Ireland's great outdoors.
We'll start in Country Tyrone, and discover the less visited and rugged high heather-clad moorland of the Sperrins - Ireland's largest mountain range and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Mountains of Mourne are both manageable and beautiful. From our centre in the seaside town of Newcastle, on the northern side of the Mountains of Mourne, we can explore this beautiful but surprisingly small area. Highlights include the Brandy Pad (an old smugglers track) in the shadow of Slieve Donard (853m) the highest peak and the Mourne Way which takes in the best of the views over the mountains and the Irish Sea.
