OverviewCalifornia is a stunningly beautiful and varied state, from the barren desert landscapes of the Joshua Tree National Park to the alpine glacial rock formations of El Capitan and Half Dome and the cascading waterfalls in Yosemite.
This is a country of extremes. California covers a huge area so we have to limit ourselves to just some of the highlights to appreciate and enjoy the dramatic scenery, wildlife and culture of this part of the USA.
To see everything on foot is the best way to get closer to and experience this surreal place. The tour provides some wonderfully varied walking and viewpoints.
