Tour around the Matterhorn
Walking many of the ancient trails that have linked the Swiss and the Italian valleys for centuries, the Tour of the Matterhorn has been described as one of the most beautiful treks in the world. This hutting holiday certainly has it all: alpine meadows, rugged cols, high balcony paths, glacier crossings and views of all sides of the Matterhorn.

Hiking across the Alps
For thousands of years the Alps have provided inspiring journeys, from the Ice Man through Hannibal and Napoleon to the modern day mountain hiker in search of adventure. We have devised a fascinating hutting tour from southern Bavaria through Austria and Switzerland, finishing in northern Italy, crossing five mountain ranges.

Swiss Mountain Adventure
This holiday is a showcase for two things at which the Swiss excel - magnificent mountain walking and the best train system in the world. First stop is Villars, in French speaking Switzerland to the south east of Lake Geneva. Then it’s on to Pontresina in the Engadine, where the official language is Romansch, and finally Saas Fee, east of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa where German is spoken.

Cross country skiing in Engadine, Switzerland
High and remote, fringed with perfect alpine peaks rising to well over 3000m, the Engadine has an enviable snow record. With villages in the valley between 1200m and 1800m and skiable areas up to 2000m, great snow is a near certainty.
