Although your destination and itinerary are hugely important, we realise that it’s often people who really add that something extra to your holiday enjoyment.

That’s why, from our product managers to our friendly sales team, our company is choc-a-bloc with avid and expert travellers, walkers and overseas partners, each committed to ensuring your holiday is unsurpassed.

Then there are your fellow travelling companions. Coming from all walks of life, they each share your desire to explore and to discover great things about our amazing world. Count on them for infectious enthusiasm and a wealth of new joint experiences. And then there are our highly skilled leaders who provide the cherry on top of your holiday!

We believe that joining a small group of like-minded travellers, accompanied by a knowledgeable, passionate leader, is simply the best way to interact with the world and to gain a deeper understanding of your surroundings. 

Travelling with a handful of people who, like you, enjoy and respect the great outdoors, means that you’ll get the best out of your holiday and minimises your environmental footprint too!

Couples, groups of friends, families and single travellers all love our holidays and see them as a chance to make friends, de-stress and relax among interesting people.

Our informal groups usually contain 12 to 20 people, and we size them to suit each individual holiday:

• On our ‘high grade’ holidays (those that are most physically demanding), we aim to limit groups to a maximum of 18 people.
• Hut to hut holidays are restricted to 11 people plus the tour leader.
• Occasionally on sightseeing and ‘low grade’ holidays, group size may extend to 24 people

We now offer two distinct walks – of different grades - a day, in fourteen of our destinations. This gives you the flexibility to choose a harder walk one day and an easier the next; we will provide two leaders to accompany the two walks, meaning an even smaller ratio of walkers to leader.

As with all group tour operators, we do require a minimum number of participants to operate each tour, although this number may vary from holiday to holiday. Should this number  not be reached then the tour will not be commercially viable and we must reserve the right to cancel the departure.

Our holidays are renowned for being friendly, fun experiences, and our small groups frequently include a significant number of single travellers. You’ll feel very welcome amongst people who share a passion for seeing the world on foot and the outdoor life. many clients return year after year with friends they have made on previous Ramblers Worldwide Holidays; clearly a strong recommendation in itself!

Our worldwide holidays are open to everyone, however they are not generally suitable for children under 16. There are sometimes exceptions though, so please do call us to discuss your requirements. Proving really popular are our exciting Ramblers Family Walking Adventures. Ideal for children aged 6 years+, these holidays are perfect for grandparents, single parents and groups of families too.
