We believe that sightseeing holidays should not be all about trudging around in groups looking at statues and monuments, or taking a bus around a city listening to a pre-recorded tape about the local points of interest. We believe that the best experiences come from a sightseeing walk in good spirits and good company, with friendly and knowledgeable guides who can make a place come to life for visitors.

Our walking holidays that are classified as ‘Sightseeing Holidays’ have itineraries with special historical or sightseeing interest – everything we find fascinating about a particular location, and more besides, has a home on our itineraries for a good sightseeing walk.

Simon is a qualified mountain leader and has been leading for Ramblers Worldwide Holidays since 2002.

With his great passion for mountains, he is to be found in Europe each summer leading our hut to hut tours, and then in winter heading for the snow. His vast knowledge of wild flowers and geology, could take him to any continent the rest of the year.
