Pedalling through Burgundy

A week of walking, cycling and relaxing in Auxerre
Overview

Burgundy has pretty much everything you need for a great holiday cycling and walking. It is criss-crossed by a network of canals whose towpaths provide wonderfully varied cycling and yet are virtually flat and traffic free. We can enjoy the wildlife on the water and on land, the multi faceted aspects of life on the canal for tourists and locals alike and stop off at the many waterside cafes, ice cream shops and bars. We suggest coffee in the mornings, a glass of white with lunch and an ice cream at tea time.

When not cycling we have some pleasant easy walking through vineyards, fields of sun flowers and sleepy villages to enjoy and we must also set aside a half day to take in the delights of Auxerre city.

We have cycle hire included on three days with two days to walk and a free day to explore at will.
