What's Included?


Your holiday price is excellent value for money (we truly believe no other walking holiday company compares) and here’s a quick summary of what your holiday includes:


Travel – this is as detailed in your holiday description on the individual holiday pages. When by air, flights are by economy scheduled or charter service. Rail travel is second class. Travel by road can be by private coach, minibus, 4x4 vehicle, public bus or taxi.

Transfers – from arrival airport to accommodation (and vice versa) and between centres (unless otherwise stated) by coach or rail.

Airport or harbour taxes and the British Air Passenger Duty – (These charges are constantly under review so should these increase or additional charges be levied, we regret that we may have to pass the cost onto you.)

The services of a Ramblers Worldwide Holidays tour leader.

Walking itinerary programme – as planned by your holiday leader. Some local transport fares and entry fees may apply.

Hotel service charges and tips – you may wish to organise your own additional tips for staff, drivers and guides – ask your leader for advice.

Meals – as stated in your holiday description. Usually half board (breakfast and evening meal). If lunches are included, they’re usually a packed lunch.

Surcharges – all prices are guaranteed against surcharges, except airline costs, government imposed charges and fuel. In these circumstances we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2%of the holiday charge.

Visa processing – if your holiday requires you to obtain a visa, we will often process this for you. See also our specific advice on Passports and Visas.

Accommodation – depending on your holiday choice, where you stay ranges from five-star spa hotels to tea huts. Selected to give you an authentic experience of your destination, further details can be found in your holiday description.

Best Price Guarantee

We know that people often wait to buy a holiday in case it reduces in price near the time of departure. However, this can be a risky business, as the holiday you particularly want may no longer be available. Our Best Price Guarantee ensures that whenever you book, you will pay the lowest price that your Ramblers Worldwide Holiday will ever be sold at. We guarantee that any topical price reductions are always passed onto existing bookings – leaving you with the reassurance that you can go ahead and secure a great holiday at the best possible price.

No Currency Surcharge guarantee

Additionally, in these very turbulent economic times, please note that as part of the Best Price Guarantee, we also offer a “No Currency Surcharge Guarantee”, so you can book with full confidence that once you have booked, the price is guaranteed against all currency fluctuations.

Our Surcharge Policy - we’ll absorb the cost of  increased fuel and airline charges up to at least 2% of the brochured holiday charge!

All prices are guaranteed against surgcharges except for airline costs and fuel. However, before making a surcharge we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the holiday charge.


Our Loyalty Scheme... 'Rambling Rewards'


We really appreciate the loyalty that so many of our clients give to us each year. It’s so encouraging for us and we see it as a great endorsement of our range of holidays. As well as continuing to offer our holidays at really good prices, we’d now like to give something back to our ‘regulars’ in the form of “Rambling Rewards”. This is our new points-based reward scheme which offers you something back each time you take another holiday with us.

It’s a simple scheme where you collect 2 points for every £1 you spend on a holiday. Once you’ve been on the holiday you can then redeem these points at any time on a future booking with us (100 points = £1 discount). You’ll collect points for every holiday you take or have taken since November 2009 and our reservations team will be able to tell you how many points you have accumulated when you phone in to make your booking. Unfortunately we cannot backdate any points!

Get your pictures in print!

It’s always good to see your pictures in print and we love to feature your most inspiring (and quirky) pictures in our publicity.

So send us the shots that you think most capture the essence of our holidays. We can’t guarantee to use all of them but if we use one of yours we’ll send you a £20 voucher for each photo (the first time we use it) to use against your next holiday.

Please send high resolution digital photographs to us as a jpeg to photos@ramblersholidays.co.uk or post to us on a CD or memory stick. Photo captions are a big help too!
