Moroccan Experience

One week or 11 days exploring Marrakech and the mountains and valleys beyond
Overview

Morocco seems like a different world and it would be hard to find a more exciting and exotic destination in such a short distance from the UK. The very name Marrakech creates images of towering minarets, bustling streets where donkeys mingle with modern-day vehicles and the population clad in djalabas. It is a different world and culture with an immediate and enduring fascination. Inside the old city walls we’ll discover the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs and the Djemaa el Fna square with its street entertainers and colourful souks. By contrast, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the many gardens, including the Jardin Majorelle with its cacti, lily ponds and Islamic Arts museum.

We’ll spend time away from the city walking in the High Atlas Mountain range and Ourika Valley, visiting traditional villages, Berber souks and enjoying the stunning scenery.
