Minorca in a Four-star Hotel
Discover a Balearic biosphere; nature, archeology and comfortable island life walking in Minorca
OverviewA beautiful climate, rolling fertile and wooded countryside, deserted beaches and a rich and diverse history. A four-star hotel offering superb Minorcan buffet meals and some leisurely walking, it doesn’t get any better than this!
Walk along the rugged, rocky coves and red sandstone beaches of the wild north and south coast’s long stretches of sandy beaches and spectacular gorges. Inland we explore quiet country lanes and farm tracks. Monte Toro, the island’s highest point offers some great views.
The sightseeing is good too; pre-historic standing stones and evidence of ancient settlements and reminders of Minorca’s strategic importance to the British, French and Spanish fleets. Mahon’s old city and natural harbour is a delight and the beautiful old city of Ciutadella is also within easy reach.
29 March and 05 April 2013 are departures for those wanting to enjoy the abundant flora of the island.
