The “Floating Garden” of Madeira
Walking, exploring and flowers.
OverviewFor our two week holidays we divide our stay between Porto Moniz on the north-western coast, Ponta do Sol in the west and Funchal. We expand our programme by taking advantage of the local buses and taxis to reach our trailheads, from where a very different picture of this beautiful island can be seen.
We operate this holiday at D+ only but two departures each year (14 and 28 April 2013) have been set aside for those who would like to spend a bit more time to appreciate the flowers on the island. *Additionally during our stay in Funchal on 28 April 2013 departure, we will be lucky enough to enjoy the festivities of the annual flower festival (Festa da Flôr ), taking place in the centre of town, only five minutes walk from the hotel.
