We have a wealth of travel experience in our office. Our staff love to travel, love telling others of their adventures and love talking travel with other travellers. They’re also full of sound professional advice and practical tips,with a first rate knowledge of destinations, flights and a multitude of walking and active sightseeing holidays from all over the world. You might even meet our joint Managing Directors on our holidays; they frequently join groups. We’ve remained a fully independent small-group guided walking holiday specialist since 1946, and with over 60 years of experience under our belts, we understand the destinations we visit and how holiday travel works. Travel is what we do. Walking holidays, from gentle sightseening strolls around the museums of Italy to high level hiking in the Andes, are our speciality.

You just need to watch the news to see that  the best of travel plans can be disrupted by strikes, extreme weather conditions, breakdowns and  failures of international transport, unexpected natural events such as the ash cloud from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajoekull volcano back in April 2010 together with a host of other reasons. You can be sure that in the event of a crisis, you can rely on having our back office team to sort the problem out and get your holiday back in track.

Responsible tourism is currently flavour of the month; everyone seems to promoting their caring and green credentials. This has been at the heart of our company principles since we started running holidays abroad back in 1946.
