Incan Pathways
Magnificent and majestic, look no further than Peru
OverviewPeru caters for every holiday taste, the walker, the naturalist, the historian, the mystic. We concentrate very much on the walker on our new holiday exploring the amazing scenery of the former Incan heartlands of the Sacred Valley.
We start in Lima, fly to Cuzco at 3,330m and drive immediately to the sacred Valley at 2,750m - hopefully minimising acclimatisation issues. We begin our exploration on foot easily at first, through beautiful mountain scenery. We are here for the walking but we will pass and explore the most amazing Incan sites giving a fascinating insight into the once great culture. We continue our exploration based in Cuzco then finally to the highlight of them all Machu Picchu.

I started leading for Countrywide Holidays in 1970 and spent summers at their guest houses in Snowdonia, the Lake District and Scotland. I went on to act as a guide for the Austrian Alpine Club. My career and family commitments took me away from leading but when the opportunity arose I started again in the late 1990s.
