Hiking the Pirin Mountains
Enjoy Bulgaria’s Rodopi, Rila and Pirin mountains; some of Europe’s best.
OverviewDespite easy access for many years the mountains of Bulgaria remain largely unknown to the British walking fraternity. Up to now we have been missing spectacular walking in accessible mountains with some fascinating cultural sites to be taken in along the way.
The Pirin Mountains to the south of Sofia, the capital, have everything a walker could desire, accessible peaks, good paths, great views, open ridges, lots of interest on lower slopes. All our walking is easy to get to using the included local transport and insight will be provided by a local guide as well as your Ramblers Worldwide Holidays leader.
