Everest Tea House Trek
A chance to see Everest, the highest mountain in the world, with a bit of comfort on the way.
OverviewNepal is known above all else for being the home of the highest mountain in the world. It has been a magnet for climbers, walkers, mystics and alternative life stylers over the years. This is a great way to see why they all came.
We have a quick look around Kathmandu to get in to the swing of Nepali life then take the classic flight up to Lukla below Everest; it’s from here that many an Everest expedition starts out. From Lukla we trek over two days into the Sagarmatha National Park and Namche Bazaar.
We continue north and west to Thame, the home of Tenzing Norgey who reached the summit of Mount Everest with Edmund Hillary. Backtracking a little we come down and across to Khumjung via Khunde and join the trail which leads to Everest Base camp. We will stop at Tengboche having enjoyed stunning views of the mountains on the way. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8512m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) are highlights.
