Egypt - Land of the Pharaohs

A fascinating journey through history.
Overview

Travellers and explorers have been coming to Egypt for centuries to confront some of the greatest mysteries of history: magnificent tombs of the Pharaohs, the Pyramids of Giza, imposing temples at Luxor and Abu Simbel and Jebel Musa in Sinai. Ancient and new worlds clash in this exciting and colourful holiday of discovery.

We discover Cairo with its bustling bazaars and world famous Egyptian Museum, with artefacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun. We travel to the Sinai where we visit St Catherine’s Monastery and walk in the desert before a relaxing stay on the Red Sea at Sharm el Sheikh.

Explore the Valley of the Kings from Luxor and then follow the Nile southwards to Aswan where we visit the High Dam. From Aswan, we make an overland day excursion to see the impressive Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel.

Please note: The October 2011 departure is 15 days and follows a slightly different itinerary. Please call for details.
