Cruising the Turkish Turquoise Coast
A week to explore the beauty and history of this beautiful coastline
OverviewStrolling through remote countryside only accessible by water, discovering rock tombs carved by ancients or enjoying a quiet drink listening to the waters lapping on the keel; there is a lot to be enjoyed on the Turquoise Coast. We sail from Marmaris, along the Fethiye Gulf and around the famous Göcek Islands.
Each day your leader will take you out walking along the coast or into the mountains, often starting and finishing on deserted beaches. At the end of the walk you can spend your time snorkelling, swimming, or using the onboard canoe.
Generally we eat on board under the sun or stars, enjoying excellent Turkish cuisine cooked every day by the onboard chef using the freshest of local ingredients. Vegetarians can easily be catered for. We have chartered a luxury 90ft yacht where you will find every cabin has individually controlled air-conditioning and an en-suite shower.

I started leading for Countrywide Holidays in 1970 and spent summers at their guest houses in Snowdonia, the Lake District and Scotland. I went on to act as a guide for the Austrian Alpine Club. My career and family commitments took me away from leading but when the opportunity arose I started again in the late 1990s.
