Classic South America

Fantastic wildlife and tropical beaches in between two iconic cities Rio and Buenos Aires.
Overview

We start in Rio, ’Cidade Marvilhosa’ the ’marvellous city’, one of the most photogenic places in the world. Leaving Rio we travel down the coast and then take a boat out to Ilha Grande, a tropical paradise of sandy beaches and car free relaxed towns. Parati, a boom town built on the back of gold trade is a gem of colonial architecture. Its streets are ideal to wander and the islands covering the bay off shore make a great backdrop.

The Iguazu (Foz de Iguaçú in Portuguese) Falls where the Iguazú River drops over the most impressive waterfalls on the planet must surely be the highlight of this magical trip. Next to the jungle and Yucutinga Lodge to enjoy the flora and fauna and finally to Buenos Aires, the home of tango and asado, the Casa Rosada and Eva Peron. Its wide open spaces are a huge contrast to the more compact Rio. A tango show finishes off our holiday in fine style.
