Apulia & The Trulli
Explore the fascinating capital of the Trulli region and the mysterious architecture of Italy's heel
OverviewAlberobello is in the heel of Italy’s boot in Apulia. It’s the fascinating capital of the Trulli region where the curious cylindrical buildings with limestone conical roofs dominate our centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the surrounding landscape. A local guide accompanies us when we explore Alberobello.
Our walks pass smallholdings of olives, vines, cherries, figs, peaches, almonds and pocket sized woods of local oaks following back-country roads, farm tracks, forest paths and some days part of a long-distance covered canal system - good level walking
