"Know before you go"

The Foreign Office advice is "be prepared for your overseas trip". For up-to-date information on the country you are visiting, check www.fco.gov.uk/travel

The message is simple and applies to everyone – ‘Know Before You Go’.

This includes advice on all aspects of holiday preparation, including getting travel insurance; researching your destination, especially local laws and customs; visiting your GP at least six weeks before travelling overseas and making copies of important travel documents.
