Foreign currency is generally best taken in the form of Travellers' Cheques. We also recommend that you take a small amount of foreign currency in cash for immediate use. Many of our larger resorts also now have ATM machines to enable you to withdraw cash using your credit or debit card.

Experienced travellers may wish to take advantage of their 'Fast Track' service, selecting their travel money by currency. Less frequent travellers may prefer to seek advice on their purchase. Sufficient help and advice to ensure you purchase the most appropriate Foreign Currency and/or Travellers' Cheques. Select your destination from the list of countries provided and Holiday Extras will recommend the right currencies for your trip. They will also highlight any additional information specific to your destination. Once you are ready, click 'Continue' to proceed with your order.
Select by Currency
Quick and easy for those who know what they need. Select the required product (bank notes or Travellers' Cheques) and your choice of currency. Enter the amount you wish to purchase and the foreign currency value will be displayed in the box below.
Holiday Extras will automatically issue a mixture of low and medium value bank notes, however should you have a specific preference, please select the appropriate denominations before proceeding to the next step. Once you are ready, click 'Continue' to proceed. The next screen will allow you to purchase additional Foreign Currencies and/or Travellers Cheques.

Some good tips from the Foreign Office include:
- Don't take only one form of money with you - take a mixture of cash and Travellers' Cheques.
- Don't keep your credit cards, money, passport and Travellers' Cheques together in one place in case you lose them or they are stolen.
- Leave a credit card at home with your family or friends in case of an emergency.
Currency tips:
- Make sure you have enough to cover emergencies.
- Take Travellers' Cheques.
- Keep a separate record of their numbers.
- Carry only as much money as you need for the day.
- If you have to carry a lot of money ask your partner or a friend to carry some for you.
- Use a money belt or secure inside pocket.
- Leave the rest in a hotel safe.
Credit card tips:
- Check the expiry dates on your credit cards.
- Make a separate note of their numbers.
- Don't carry all your cards with you - leave at least one in the hotel safe.
- Make a note of the emergency telephone number for cancellation. Also consider a credit card protection policy.
- Check your credit card is accepted in the country you are visiting - in some countries you may not be able to use any credit cards.
- In addition, your bank, the national press, Teletext or various financial websites all provide up to date information on exchange rates.
