Read Kate O’Shea account of when she went walking in Austria. She braves metal steps and wire ropes to get to the top – eek, don’t look down! – Helen, Community Co-ordinator.
Here is another fantastic account (plus some hilarious photos) of the Tirolean walking holiday, in July this year. This was a dual leader holiday and Douglas took the D/D+ options, whereas Gerry Carson, his fellow documenter, took the C/C+. Read Douglas’ account of the beauty of the Stubai glacier and trying local delicacies he sampled while walking in Austria, and then take a trip to Gerry’s blog and read more! – Helen, Community Co-ordinator.
Read this great blog by Shirley about walking in Austria – Great views and food, I am little jealous! – Helen, Community Co-ordinator.
I wonder how many people have a mental list of their ‘best walks ever’? Mine include several I have done on Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, namely the Heather Trail in Manning Park, Canada, the Hooker Valley from Mt Cook Resort in New Zealand, and Naudanda to Sarangkot in Nepal. This summer I have added another to my list, namely the Kauntal in the Austrian Tyrol, which we did during a Ramblers Worldwide Holiday in Ladis.
The walking holiday ‘Tirolean Summer’ allowed Gerry to enjoy all four seasons and discover the stunning Stubai Glacier. Read his great blog to learn more about his time in the Austrian Alps. Then take a trip to read Douglas Buchanan’s blog about the D/D+ side of the walk. Looks liek a good time was had by all! – Helen, Community Co-ordinator.

Jeff Field went on his walking holiday to Ladis and experienced wonderful weather and spectacular walks. Just the way it should be!
