Jeanette Swann went walking in Italy to Apulia and The Trulli. This was her first walking holiday with Ramblers Worldwide Holidays and it sounds like she had a great time. She sent in a short but sweet blog post with some great pictures.

Ten eager walkers (six men and four ladies) met with leader, Alun, at Munich airport to start our journey Across the Alps from Germany to Italy across five Alpine ranges. Seven of us were experienced ‘hutters’ and three were novices.
All it took was the first holiday with Ramblers Worldwide Holidays last year and I was hooked. The walking grade suited my ability, the cost met my budget, the people in my group were warm and friendly, and the experience was unforgettable. This year’s Mediterranean Masterpiece was no exception.
Naomi Powell was on the Iseo walking holiday with Alison who recently sent in her blog post. When Naomi saw Alison’s blog she sent in a couple of photos and a lovely little explanation. Naomi also said, “Alison was one of our group of enthusiastic and interesting people who made great holiday companions, especially as they all enjoyed a good laugh.”

Margaret Moore went on her walking holiday to Italy to experience the spectacular beauty of the Cinque Terre. Margaret’s story gave me a good chuckle and it sounds like she fell in love with the region; but judging by her photos…. who wouldn’t?
A walking holiday in Iseo with wildflowers… Would it be obsessive botanists holding us up, fiddling with tripods and cameras? In practice, it was great walking in the mountains and by the lake, pausing briefly to look at exquisite little flowers and gazing at meadows filled with mauve bugle, purple meadow sage, yellow euphorbia and rock roses, with a vista of lake and mountains beyond.

Richard Bailey and Sarina spent their walking holiday in Francavillaadmiring the wonderful extremes of Nature; from the abundance of flowers to the mighty power of Mt Etna.
