We offer a considerable number proportion of our holidays where viewing birds and other wildlife in their diverse habitats is a major feature.
In addition, if you are among the growing number who enjoy seeing a wide range of spectacular species of birds and observing their interesting behaviour in stunning surroundings, then one of our special 'Birds and Walking Holidays' is for you! We've partnered with Swarovski Optik to ensure you have access to a 60x magnification telescope so that you can get really close to the action!
Where can I go?
We have three specific holidays with a significant emphasis on birding: one week on the Greek island of Lesvos, nine days in southern Spain staying in Extremadura and the Donana National Park and twelve or thirteen days further afield on the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
We operate lots of other tours on our programme where although not specifically for 'Birdwatching', can offer excellent birdwatching opportunities. For a list of our other Holidays with Birdwatching click here.
What can I expect?
With our new Spanish 'birding' itinerary, you will have the benefit of an experienced ornithologist with the group and you will visit fantastic and extremely diverse areas providing good walking whilst, hopefully, seeing some of Europe's rarest and most interesting birds, including an abundance of birds of prey, cranes, bustards and an array of wetland species. Our Costa Rica holiday takes in a host of spectacular Neotropical habitats and numerous colourful birds - singly and in flocks. Knowledgeable local guides join our group to get the most out of our visits to the National Parks and prime destinations within the itinerary. Minorca, with its varied island landscapes offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience Mediterranean birds at their best.
