Now part of Croatia, the delights of the Istrian Peninsula are awaiting rediscovery.
The town of Rovinj retains its old world charm and the old town and harbour are well worth exploring. The area is also famous for its olive oil and wild asparagus in the spring and its truffles in the autumn.
